Frustrated

by Dean Rerekura

So Joshua said to the Israelites: “How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has given you?"

Joshua 18:3

God is frustrated with his people because they had yet to take possession of that which God had given them.
God promises them a land – and they were yet to grab hold of it.
God had promised them victory – and they were yet to appreciate it.
God had promised them provision – and they are yet to believe it.

We can be like that in what we have been promised and given in Christ.
We have been promised forgiveness – but we don’t grab on to it.
We have been promised inclusion into the family of God – but we are yet to appreciate it.
We have been promised salvation by grace – but we consider it too good to be true.

There is a difference between knowing Christ and trusting Christ.
There is a difference between a religious response to Jesus and receiving from Jesus what only He can give.
There is a difference between being saved by grace and every other religion in the world.

Yes, it is too good to be true, but, thank God, that he can do the impossible, AND TRUE IT IS!

You don’t have to be frustrated any more!

So Joshua said to the Israelites: “How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has given you?
