Godliness has value

by Dean Rerekura

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

1 Timothy 4:8

The videos of people doing their workouts are online everywhere. Now that people can’t access the gym or the aerobics class or the palates group, they are doing it in their own homes and filming themselves so that everyone else can see. Good on them – I guess.

Sport men and women in my country (and around the world) are preparing to return to their respective competitions, so teams are back training and getting ready for the contest.

Physical training is good for a lot of things.
But being godly has value for ALL things. Oh how I wished my life was lived more like I believe that. I wished the Christians in my country lived believing that. That living a life that follows the will and the Word of God is valuable in everything.
At home. At play. At work. Behind the wheel of a car. Behind the desk at an office. Behind the tools at the construction site. In speech and in action. In our thinking and in our planning. And as it says here … “In this present life and the life to come.”

So today, wherever we go, lets live like godliness has value in ALL THINGS.
