Dwelling Place

by Dean Rerekura

My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Ezekiel 37:27

You know what it’s like to be left out when others are invited in.
You know how it feels to be declared guilty when you know you are innocent.
You know how it feels when the guilt and shame of the past comes knocking at your door of your life.

And you feel so alone.

He dwells where he chooses, and he chooses to dwell with us!
He devotes himself to us as our God!
He declares that we are His people!

No one can say they are not loved, not if we are loved like this.
No one can say they don’t belong, not if we belong like this.
No one can say they are without love, not if we have grace like this.
No one can say they have no hope, not if we have this to enjoy.

He took on flesh. He dwelt among us. We have seen his glory. The glory of the One and only.
He is The way, the truth and the life. he is the only way to the Father.
He is the image of the invisible God.
Jesus Christ.

Pretty simple. Profoundly true.

My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
