Those words usually spoken from a beach whilst on holiday, or watching a spectacular sunset with a drink in our hands from a lookout, or from the kids running around Movie world or a theme park on vacation.
Those awesome times that you wish could go on and on and never end.
This verse speaks about something that will last forever. Something that will never end.
“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever”
God is so great, so awesome, so wonderful, so spectacular that our praise of him could, and will, go on forever.
I think of the Heavenly scene when those surrounding the throne in Heaven are worshipping the One who sits on that throne continually. I think about how at the end of John’s account of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection he said that if all the things Jesus did were written down, the whole world couldn’t have enough books to record them.
You might like to spend some time thinking about the different things that Jesus said that displaying his wisdom.
