This verse from the Bible tells us what we need especially at this time. That no matter where we are, and no matter what circumstances our life and our world is in. We need to hear God’s voice. And we need to hear the voice of one another.
I began Verse Watch with the hope that we all might keep reading our Bibles. The Bible where we get to hear God speak. Let’s hear his voice.
Begin a reading plan. Get a Bible reading app like ‘The Bible App’. Just make sure you are in a position to hear God’s Word.
But also, we need to hear the voices of others. Speak to one another. Not just in a message or SMS. Please pick up the phone and call. Yes, exercise ‘person to person’ distancing, but let’s stay in contact with one another.
In a world that is isolated and where 4m distancing is the new norm, let’s make sure that we can still hear one other, listen to one another, and speak to one another in ways that uses words of affirmation and not just letters of the alphabet.
Today, and everyday, listen to God and speak to God – and let’s listen and speak to one another.
Deuteronomy 16:11
And rejoice before the Lord your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, the Levites in your towns, and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows living among you.
