The wages of sin the death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
There is a lot of celebrating at this time of year. End of year parties. Staff get-togethers. Neighborhood BBB’s and family dinners. These few weeks give many opportunities to have a great time with colleagues, friends and family.
But there is another cause to party. We who once were dead in our sins, now we have been brought near to God. We who were lost in our sin, have been found and are on the way home.
Heaven celebrates when the lost are found. God is glad when the dead receive life. So today, put on the party hat, sing the celebration song “What the Lord has done in me”, and party (not like there’s no tomorrow) but for eternity.
Christmas – Love comes down – and his name is Jesus.
