Kindness in a Hurting World

by Dean Rerekura

If you take a step back and look, this is the God you want.

For this God, demands kindness towards others.
To treat others as you wish to be treated.
To act towards others as God has acted toward you: graciousness, mercy, generosity, hospitality, welcome and acceptance.

To look after the welfare of widows and orphans. For it is in the way it treats the most vulnerable among them, that most significantly defines any society or community.

For God hears the cries of all those who are hurt.

And if he hears their cry, he will also hears yours.

Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt. Do not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless. If you do and they cry out to me, I will certainly hear their cry.
