Our Means of Salvation

by Dean Rerekura

By faith the people crossed the Red Sea as on dry land, but the Egyptians, when they attempted to do the same, were drowned.

Hebrews 11:29

The means through which God’s people were saved, was the same means through which God’s enemies were condemned.
The way that meant a firm foundation for the people of God, also became a slippery slope for their enemies.
The journey – provided by God, guided by God, displaying the undeniable power of God, is here described as a journey of faith.
Everything is provided – they just needed to believe and trust.

The same is true for us.

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He did it all. There is grace everywhere there.
The question is faith and trust.

There is history. There is testimony. There is eternity. There is enough evidence.
Enough to trust. Enough to believe. Enough for faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

By faith the people crossed the Red Sea as on dry land, but the Egyptians, when they attempted to do the same, were drowned.
