Rejected

Too many people know what it is to be rejected.
Far too many people know what it is to be ignored, left out and forgotten.
God promises that he will never reject you.
God says he will never forsake you.

The irony is this….
The God who will never reject his people, is himself rejected.
The God who will never forsake his own, was himself forsaken.

If you know rejection – so does the God who loves you.
If you know what it is to be forgotten – so does the God who accepts and welcomes you.

Jesus…
He was forsaken so we would never be forsaken.
He was rejected so we could be received.
He was crucified so we could be forgiven.
He has risen, in him we believe.

For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.
